Very beautiful view. Well worth a visit.

French fries were great. But when calling us we were not told that only outside is free. The weather wasn't so nice there. Unfortunately not according to our ideas.

Unfortunately, there was a note on the door today: Castle basement closed due to “bad weather”. Current opening times can be found on the homepage. According to the homepage it should be open, the weather this afternoon was rather good. Conclusion: quite a failure

The castle cellar has a very nice beer garden! We went on a trip to Herrenberg and also hiked up the Schlossberg. By chance we discovered that the castle cellar has a wonderful beer garden. Unfortunately, this is not shown when Google searches for beer garden. Very tasty food and friendly staff! In terms of price also completely okay.

Went there early evening to eat. Very long waiting times for drinks (30 minutes after ordering). Waiting times for food were just acceptable (50 minutes). The friendliness of the service below average. I ordered Käsespätzle (with a small salad) as the main course for around € 12.50. I got cheese spaetzle that reminded me of the amount of a side dish. The salad was fresh but not enough dressing. From the location you don't have a good view what I had hoped for beforehand. The heat builds up on hot days. Because a draft cannot arise. Personally, I won't be going to eat there anymore.

Today we went to the castle cellar and were very disappointed! We were there 5 minutes before the opening, but were kindly allowed to take a seat. After us, other guests came and took a seat. When the waitress came on time and took the orders, she did not start with us (the first guests) as expected, but worked her way from the entrance to the back of the beer garden. Since we had our baby with us, we had placed ourselves in the shade at the rear end and were the last to go. Since we weren't in a hurry, we found it strange, but it was ok. After all the guests who came after us were served their food and later finished eating, we still didn't have our food after over an hour! We called the waitress and complained, and we were told that our food was coming soon. Our criticism of why the order was ignored left it uncommented and there was no excuse. A few minutes later, another employee came to our table and informed us that there was probably a system error and that our food was only being prepared. As our baby was getting impatient, we decided to pay for our drinks and not eat anything. Then there was only a simple excuse. We paid for our drinks and went. Here we would have at least expected that our two non-alcoholic drinks would be at the house's expense. The term customer satisfaction is defined differently in this beer garden.

Still nice, you can just sit up here. Nice and attentive service, without long waiting times. We would love to come back.

A nice beer garden on the mountain Herrenbergs, a few meters below the castle ruins and the lookout tower. Has a terrace overlooking the Swabian Alb. In the evening you can admire the sunset while drinking or enjoying the typical meals of a beer garden. Many are not, but they taste good. I personally missed a little variety on the menu. We opted for pork steak and lamb salmon that was offered additionally. (Not on the menu) You walk up or drive. There is a parking lot. A nice destination over Herrenberg.

You sit outside very nice with a view. Delicious home-made lemonade. Apple rings with vanilla sauce are also recommended.

It was just great. Good beer, good, friendly, fresh service, the food is great for a restaurant like this ... On the way up you should let yourself be explored.
